Damsons Swoop Sweatshirt Raw

Inspired by chilly evenings around a campfire and lazy Sunday mornings this oversized fit sweatshirt is your new BFF. This sweat has been made using 90% cotton and 10% poly dense diagonal fleece, with a V rib insert at the neck and shoulders with a cover seam tail and ribbed cuff and collar for when you just need that extra comfort.  

The neutral tones of this sweatshirt make it easy to style and features some unique Damsons detailing including an applique swallow badge on the chest and “Strength and beauty” printed on the inside of the neck cuff. Throw on over our Croft Henley and pair with your favourite pair of jeans for a plush, relaxed look.

Origins: The original sweatshirt was invented by Benjamin Russell Jr., a football player in 1926. It began with the new idea of an all-cotton practise football jersey. 

Tired of itchy wool jerseys, the son of founder Benjamin Russell thought to swap out the chafing uniforms with something cooler and more comfortable.The sweatshirt was a huge success and in the 70s and 80s people went wild for sweatshirts printed with logos and even Universities began creating their own them for their own uniforms.
